News and Forthcoming events

June 2022.   Very exciting news !!

We have just heard that we have been awarded a grant of £3,000 towards our running costs by the Sir Timothy Brooks Fund – administered by Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation.  This will go towards paying the costs of our Youth leaders and Cleaner over this coming year.  It means that we won’t have to use so much of our reserves to keep the club running.  We are very grateful to both of the funding bodies for recognising the importance of the work we do with young people.

October 2022.  More exciting news !!

In order to reduce our electricity bills ( or stop them rising so fast!) and also reduce our carbon footprint,  we applied to the Mercia Community Fund, administered by the Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation.  We heard a few days ago that IM Properties were prepared to fund our application of £1276.  We have been in touch with our electrician, who hopes to start work on this before the end of the month.

We are so thankful for the generosity that has been shown to us by IM Properties and the LRCF.  Their money will enable the club to  keep running further into the future.
