Measham Youth Club

The Friday Night Youth club runs in two sessions. Club A is for members who are in year 6 and below (min age y5), this club runs from 5 – 6.30pm. Club B is for members year 8 and above, this club runs from 6.30 – 8pm.

Members who are in year 7 can choose which club to attend but must stick to their chosen club.

There is a varied programme of activities and events run by our Youth Leaders – Ellie and Lauren and occasional help from Jess. They are helped by volunteers – Sue and Rupert. The emphasis is on helping young people to develop their potential whilst having great fun in a safe environment.  This is achieved by lots of physical activity such as sports tournaments, together with life skills such as cooking, archery or cycle maintenance.  We also have large amounts of art and craft materials which are in use every session. We often hold events for celebrations that happen throughout the year, including a Halloween party, bonfire night BBQ and Christmas events.

The club has a dedicated electronic games room with six laptops plus games consoles, such as the Xbox and a Wii – and sessions are held on how to stay safe on the internet. The large upstairs room has table tennis and pool tables.

We accept children and young people from school year five and above. If you have any concerns, we can be contacted through our Facebook page ‘Measham Youth Club’ , where we share photos of our evenings and provide useful information for parents and the community – or through the telephone number 01530 273817 during club times and email meashamyouthclub@outlook.com.
